So many new Resins

I don't get how I can space my ordering out just fine, but then everything I order shows up about the same time...so I feel like I'm on some crazy buying spree. :\

Anyhoo, last weekend Nappy Choo arrived. I can't take pictures of him, becuase MOC sent the wrong size eyes and now he's scary. So we'll have to wait until Alice ships his (dear god hopefully) "real" eyes...along with other Alex-eyes and Alex I's bday gift. Which is win. I can't wait for it to get here XD

Anyway, I gave up on my AiL Elihah head of ever working for Gabriel... within the next hour, I discovered, fell in love with and did a total impulse buy (believe it or not, I don't usually impulse buy dolls) of a Dollstown Rian head from Dollstown. This was last Friday. She arrived on Saturday. Holy hell are they fast. One week?! Who does that?! She's now on the Resinsoul body I bought for Elijah, which is...nice. Finicky, and was really in need of a lot of work, but nice. She's perfect, exactly what I wanted, and from DT...it's always been a hope of mine to own a DT girl.

Migi shipped my two alternate Ryu heads and they should be here today...they're in the STL already so it's possible they're already on my porch.

My Birthday doll also arrived Saturday, but I can't have him until Saturday which is actually the day after my bday, but when we're having a thing...so I have to wait. It's torture. I already know what it is, I picked it out and found it second-hand...but I want to see it so bad!! I bought clothes already lol. I need to make a wig, but will have to wait until I actually get him, so I can use his head....TORTURE!!!

So all this crazy-timed arrivalage means...I'm not waiting on anything but wigs and clothes. And probably won't be for a long time. I don't even really want any new dolls lol. I have enough!!

Well, I do want a new head for mini-David, but since I don't know what that will be yet, I'm in no hurry.

I really will be listing a few extra pieces for sale soon, I'm thinking about one more that may or may not go up for sale for sure first. Then some sales pics. Then I'm not sure I have anyone else to sell. D:

Scary thought.

In the meantime, I wiped a bunch of heads yesterday adding to my faceless-monster group. Since David's new heads will be here, he'll have to get wiped as well. I am INSANELY behind on faceups. I have like, 6 now that need them plus all three Ryus. The Vampire head will have to get modded first, no way am I keeping those pointy ears. Maybe the fangs. Maybe. Boo has to get his mod as well....Then I have two heads that aren't mine, one of which needs sanding first. Ugh. SO MUCH WORK. I started to work on Michele and Rian, because they'll be the easiest (I know exactly what I want to do to Michele, and the Rian will get the same faceup the Elijah has) last night, and the stupid sky opened up and it freaking poured on us. The hell. So nothing got done on them. Maybe tonight. I'm crossing my fingers. It would be nice to have someone off my work table soon....

And finally I would like to share this, which I'm having made for Baby and Little Alex. Because it's so FREAKING CUTE!!! This kinda thing is one reason I have so many Alexes. I couldn't put that on big Alex without gagging a little at the wrongness of it all, but the Kidlets can wear it with no issues at all :D

I can't wait for the eyes to show up. If they're all the right colors, I think there might have to be a giant Alex-group photo. I haven't done one since I had 6 Alexes...that was years ago lol. So many more now....

Ok, I'm not selling all of them, just a few here and there like usual. XD

I'll be listing my Alice in the Labyrinth Elijah head for sale on DOA this week. Also I will probably put up the Sleeping Sist head again, this time for good as I don't think I'll ever do anything with it. Possibly one or two more anthros as well....It's that time. I need to get rid of some of the dolls I have just taking up space. I'll probably post them here first if anyone is interested, then DOA, DA and Dairyland. Cause the more the merrier.

The Elijah hurts. I love that head, it's just gorgeous...but the body I got for her didn't work so well, and the more I looked at her them more I gave up. I spent some time on the MP looking for another head to use in her place and found....well what I found was exactly what I wanted, which was another dream doll of sorts for me. I've had a few of those over the years, and it's possible that this is one of the last...meaning my collection is becoming complete? That's a scary thought. But I guess it's possible. The Elijah was supposed to be the angel Gabriel, the last of the more important of my characters, and the last one I really want as a doll. There's really no need for me to have anyone else (except for Shae I guess...We'll see if that ever happens).

This here is a Nappy Choo Popo. When Neo Angel Region or Soom in disguise came up with the Nappy Choo, I thought it was weird and pointless. Then years later I saw one and was smitten. I had to has. It's so cute in person it's kind of sick lol. He has temporary blue eyes on the way, but Dollmore does not make the size I need for him, so I need to find an eye supplier that makes eyes in Alexes color so I can get him some real ones...him and Tiny Alex actually, who's eyes are way too dark, but at least blue.

This poor thing is so tiny...he's smaller than a Pukifee, but a chunk. It poses amazingly well, and is...very detailed D:

I feel weird owning a cute little baby doll. I don't like children, and have never wanted one of my own...but who can resist that little face?! Someday I will have real photos (when his fake eyes get here) but until then this is all you get.

I'm not sure if he can be photographed with an SD doll....I'll have to find a real baby and see how it measures up to a 6' 2" (ish) man....actually, I don't know many men that tall. Dammit....why is everyone around here short?!

So I have yet another Alex. Probably going to be at least one more in the near future (after all my birthday is coming up in a couple weeks *winkwink*), and after that....I can no longer say this will be the last lol. They're like gremlins!! I have to stop getting them wet and feeding them after midnight D:

Once they all looked like I walked in in the middle of a fight. I don't set them up that way, they just do it on their own (Snappy Dollmore arms? Or are they finally tired of sitting next to themselves?). They's scary.

Spring. At 30°. IT'S COLD!! And it's supposed to snow!! Sometime this week.

So I'm caught in some drama over in my DA that's got me down now, and I decided to go on and post the two not-so-great shots of my newest in an attempt to cheer up. I took them yesterday afternoon at lunch, so they're nothing special.



This is Volks Michele Summer Night's Phantom version, which is the version I saw new, many years ago when he was first released. I was totally smitten by him for some reason I don't even know. I wasn't a fan of volks at the time, and this kind of proportion didn't appeal to me at all. Still I thought he was fabulous, and dreamed of someday owning one and naming him Panda. I'm not sure why I was set on that name...but there you go. Fast forward to nows and YAY HERE HE IS!!!

In all the fantastic fullset I'm not sure I even care about lol other than it has left me with no doubt I got the real thing (I know there were Michele recasts, so I was a little paranoid to buy blank heads with no papers or anything). And a temporary faceup and wig for him while I figure out what I'm going to do with him. Well, I know, but gathering clothes and finding time to work on his new faceup will take time, so he's at least got this.

The outfit sorta fits Tween, though it's a little big, and the jacket (not pictured) is too big for both of them. He may wear parts of this (I love the necklace - it might be his sword) but probably not the whole thing, and certainly not the wig or eyes once I chip out all that hot glue :P

So he's not Panda. While I was bidding on the first one, then losing it, then winning this one I looked at a lot of angels and Aiel, who only appeared in one entry in one of my books (lesser known Angel, this one) stood out for me. He's also the angel of Sunday and Aries. I'm an aries, so I thought that was nice.

I'll be honest, there was a lot of anxiety over this one. First there was YJ, the shopping service, the fear I paying for something I thought I was buying but actually getting something else, the fear that the seller wouldn't ship to rinkya or that rinkya woudln't ship to me...that he would be damaged in transit, if he ever got to me at all...And the biggest fear of all, that if/when he did get here, I would realize that I didn't care for him so much at all, and I wasted all that money. I was properly freaked out. stressstressstressstressstressstressstressstressstressstressstressstress

So when he finally got here I realized I hadn't had time to really get excited! So my excitement has gone on a few days XD I dragged him to work a couple times, I've changed his clothes and popped out his eyes and cut him a temporary wig and then redressed him back in his fullset an forced the eyes back in. I would have brought him to work again today but he's too big to keep hauling around.

I have to say, my worries about not liking him were just silly lol he's as fabulous as I remember thinking when I first saw him!! I could stare at that weird face all day X3

The only Michele-break I've taken in a week was last night to play with Aishe, as my roommate found his lost wardrobe and he can has clothes again!! Somehow one shirt was still missing...but I may still find it. I'm hoping Alex has it in his trunk somewhere (and since it's small and black I'll never find it) because I've searched all the other wardrobes and it's not there. But Aishe looks more like Aishe and his hands are back and he's awesome again <3

Poor Little Ashes...he's been a little neglected. He arrived the same day as Michele and I've only managed to string him and make him a wig...No face yet. That brings my total to four. Four dolls I have blank. Actually it's five. That's sick...

At least two of my commissions and my one freelance job are done. Maybe I'll find time. I need to get that Volks head done though...it's body is coming and I need to take good pictures of it for the contest....and I y'know, need to like the faceup. That's going to be tough...and this weekend is shot already. Bachelorette party for a friend, lunch with my Mom and oh, yeah, a dollmeet at my apt. *dies*
I'm exhausted thinking about it!!!

Seriously, I'm so tired today...no sleep. I was freezing all night, I thought maybe I was getting sick until my cat crawled under the covers with me.....he NEVER does that. He must have been freezing too...stupid drafty apartment. Stupid freezing spring weather.

I think I'll go in search of more coffee...

QUICK EDIT: I have a Volks SD10 boy body on the way for my DWC02 head now...Bought and paid for last week, but shipped today! Yay! Ai's twin! And, other than Gabriel's body which I'm hoping will also be on the way soon, the Nappy Choo, a possible birthday doll, and some extra or replacement heads, my last doll of the year...srsly. I'm done lol
Too much work on the current crew to worry about... Not to mention I ran out of space about 4 SDs ago...O_o

Long time no update

Not the 100th post I was hoping for lol

I feel like it's been forever since I posted, but I've seriously had no time to myself for weeks. Between faceup commissions and freelancing I have barely touched my own dolls, and I've done nothing remotely art-related forever. It's getting depressing.

I is not happy.

However I'm hoping things change a tad.

My Volks DWC02 head got home over the weekend. It's a million times cuter than it looks on Volks USA and I'm getting excited about it. I put a WTB up for an SD10 boy body, and I"m hoping it won't take long to get one. I am already for this to be a full doll lol.

Forever ago I ordered a Soom Flint Xmas kit on layaway, which has been paid off for months now. Finally they're begining to ship, though mine hasn't yet. I'm a little meh about him. When I ordered I was all excited to get a new bunny, but things change, and unless he's super-cute I might just be putting him aside for a while and not doing anything with him. I'm distracted by other shiny things atm, and I haven't even gotten Boo finished yet :(

I also ordered a Neo Angel Region/Soom Nappy Choo Popo. God knows when he'll get here, but I am really excited about him...I have no idea what eyes or wig this little thing can take since I know noone at all who owns one, so I can't even get it anything while I'm waiting...but he's going to be another Baby Alex XD
I don't have a name yet...maybe Infant. Or Newborn? I'm running out of labels for the Youngins. I guess that means I can't get anymore....

Migidoll is discontinuing the Vampire versions of Miho and Ryu, and since I wanted Ryu to be a sleeping version of David, I ordered one this morning, along with Cynical Ryu...also for David. He's going to have an expression now. I can hardly wait!! I've already been asked if he will be getting different versions like Alex...and no. He won't. Two reasons....the DT15 body is too expensive and too discontinued for me to get more. It's just not happening. Also, as much as I love David, he's not Alex, and I'm getting him extra heads, not alternative heads...the faceups will be the same on all three, so there's really no need to have more than one at a time....I will need more eyes though, which kind of sucks. :P

Biggest news of all is that I did manage to buy a Volks Michele!! I'm really excited about him. He's not a Grail Doll, but close. A really really big Dream Doll. I still say I don't have a Grail lol but lots of dream dolls!!
I was really hoping he'd get here this week but I still don't have a shipping bill :P So it's looking doubtful. This was my first time buying from YJ. It was scary. I've never used a shopping service before. I can't wait for this guy, I already know exactly what I want him to look like, and will hopefully have a spare moment to wipe that awful brown default off him and redo it all in black >:D
His Angel identity has almost no info out there so I have to make most of it up, including his symbol...but I think what I've got will work. The DWC02 will be his twin...I have to find wigs and eyes for both, but at least one of them will be wearing fur, at least part of the time. I also want to make him some "fake" wings...again, when I have time. The out fit will go to Tween, who will rock that corset thing. If it fits. He can wear SD10 things, but some are way big on him....

I did have a few moments last week at a friends house to update two dolls I've had for a while. My ElfiNdoll Pet Bunny (formerly known as pipsqueak) and Brownie, Chibi Wyn. I got tired of both their bodies for various reason. The END body is blocky and the hands are too human for a rabbit, and the Brownie body is so freaking cute but can't pose worth a crap....which is only a problem because the rest of my group are Pukis and can pose. I'd had the thought for a while to put Chibi Wyn's head on a Puki body but never tried it out....then I found a WS puki body for sale on the MP and bought it for the bunny (because even though the Puki body is "human" it's hands were still less human than the bunny's original hands). It came last week, and I (with the help of a friend - that puki body was strung so tight it took both of us to get the bunny head on it) did the head switch.

I also brought the rest of my Chibis along intending to get the Brownie head on Chibi Aishe's body. I wanted to use Chibi Aishe specifically because his body was deformed. When I got it something was obviously wrong with the head...it was very jerky and only looked up or down. I took his whole head off, and found two things: a dent in the neck and a indentation on the headback, both probably made because FL has a history of sending uncured dolls sometimes...and this was most likely one of htem. I bought him second hand so there was nothing I could do....I boiled both parts and it actually helped some, but he still wasn't great.
A few years ago I had bought my Mom a Puki for her birthday, but it turned out to be a little too small for her, so I was supposed to see her this weekend to get it back and either sell or keep and get her something else. I was intending to put Chibi Aishes FP on her puki's body, so he would work like normal....so I went on and started to do the Brownie/Puki hybrid. Brownies are not strung with any kind of shook, so I had to cut him apart - which meant no returning lol. I got his neck part off and then had to unstring the puki body to get it on. UGH. I've never had to string anything so small. It sucked.

SUCCESS!!!! Chibi Wyns now has a fully mobile Puki body!! He works perfectly, every bit as well as a full Puki!
The resin is even a perfect match. I couldn't be happier. "Harvey" the ElfNdoll pet bunny is also pretty perfect! I was pretty happy with both of them, when I talked to my mom...who couldn't get off Sunday to come over. So poor Chibi Aishe is a floating FP now lol just like his big versions head was forever!! He can't catch a break in any form.

That's all the real news I have. I would still like to do a contest on this site, but having no time til about the summer :P it will be awhile. I do have an idea of what I want to do though, so that's at least good!

I hope everyone is having a decent week! Boo to losing an hour of sleep. I want it back!!
