Versatile Blogger Award

I was nominated for this by Alasse Carnesir at Inn of the Wayward Misfits.

Thank you so much! I had no idea blog awards existed lol but yay!
The rules of this award are that you choose 15 bloggers to pass this award on to, and tell the
award-giving blogger 7 things about yourself.

I've been reading comics (mostly Marvel, but I dabble in everything) since I was about 12 but I never thought to make my own until I was about to graduate college.

My guilty pleasure is Glee. *shame*

I use Pinterest to tell me what to wear. Pretty much every day.

I went to school for art and graphic design, I am a full-time graphic designer, and people are still surprised when I tell them my degree is actually in what I do.

I am totally addicted to purses and bags.

I am actually shaped like a Dollmore doll, and have often wondered if that's why I like them so much (really long legs and no waist XD). It does kind of tick me off when people complain about how unnatural their proportions are.

I have a slight (read: huge) obsession with Muppets and all things Jim Henson.
I mostly keep it a secret.

15 bloggers is a lot D:
I'm gonna cheat and only do a few

  1. Congratulations! Yay for blogging awards!
Why would you keep an obsession with the Muppets a secret? Who doesn't like the Muppets? Who doesn't like Jim Henson? Silly people. That's who.

I'd never thought of getting fashion tips from Pinterest but that's neat. I might have to look into that for possible doll outfit ideas.

I remember I once got into a mild argument with someone about Dollmore body shapes and proportions. Someone was saying the taller male bodies didn't have long enough torsos for their height and it was unrealistic, and I pointed out that my brother (who is nearly a foot taller than me) and I are almost exactly the same height when sitting down but standing up we're not even close, so it didn't seem that unreasonable to me that they might not make the torso that long. They ended up implying that my brother and I would have to be deformed for that to be true. I ended up rather ticked off as well so I can see where you're coming from there.

(I'm still waiting for my coffee to kick in. Sorry for the wall of text)

    1. Lol wall of text.....have you read my entries? XD

omg yes! I am shorter than a lot of my friends who are about a foot shorter than me when I sit down! It's tough to really explain that to people...my best friend who is the same height as I am drove my car the other day and could barely reach the pedals, and she sounded so surprised! I'm like, you've known me forever! I feel like I could be further back even, but then I couldn't reach the radio XD
I have another friend (way shorter than I am) who was looking at a model in a magazine and marveling over the "bad and obvious photoshopping of her body because no one looks like that". As I use PS every day of my life, I looked at it and was like - Uh, no....that's her waist (she had none), her butt (her arm was kind of hiding it) and her legs are just long....just like mine. And she still argued with me :\

It's nice to know I'm deformed :\\\\ but hey! We can stick together! :D

The whole pinterest as my virtual closet was an accident. I was looking at clothes and found an outfit I liked that I had most of the pieces for and had never thought to wear together...so I started looking for more. It's nice because I don't have to think so much about my clothes in the morning now and I have more time to pet the cat (don't ask...).

Yay for Muppets! You would be surprised how many people could care less about Muppets. I say they have very sad lives.... *nod*

  2. Glee used to be my guilty pleasure too but I stopped watching a while ago. The new kids weren't as good.

I actually only discovered Pinterest recently. Yes, I have been living under a rock. It's a useful tool to find various fashions, patterns and other goodness!

Growing up, my husband loved Kermit the Frog. He still likes the muppets a lot. I haven't really watched much of the muppets, growing up or whatnot but hey, I am sucker for those Disney animated movies.

  3. Ah - thank you for the nomination! :D <3 *Scurries off to blog it*

I think it's pretty brilliant that you were able to join the field you studied in and obviously must enjoy! I'm also pretty addicted to Pintrest for fashion ideas, I have to say, I think it's one of the more pleasant SM platforms haha
