EDITS:
So the Shiwoo head arrived safe and sound last night! After a terrifying few moments where I didn't realize I had the neck piece turned backwards and thought the head just didn't fit it, he went on just fine! I forgot that Shiwoo is so big, I was expecting smaller for some reason, but as a larger FL mold he looks amazing on the bigger DZ body and even with the huge DC hands! So I'm really happy with how he's come together. That DZ 003 body has some of the ugliest joints I've ever seen, but it just about out-poses everything, and is so easy to work with I don't care. His head doesn't match the body or hands which also don't match the body, but they're all only about a shade off, so it's not bad at all!
The nose chip is actually a chip, I do think some of it boiled out, but he needs a quick sand to get it perfect. I didn't do it last night, I wanted him to reset after being boiled, and I needed the faceup off first (it came off very easily) so I could see all the damage. It's not bad....I've definitely seen worse. I'm not sure it'll even be visible after the sanding.
I spent a million hours torturing his wig, and I like it ok, but I will probably have to redo sometime. It's ok for now. He's wearing his old, full of cray cat ears....not a fan. They always looked more fox-like to me. I'll be getting him resin cat ears eventually. But for now, other than being blank and in need of a quick sand, he's good! I'm going to try and get a picture of him, and of Dolce or possibly the whole group later....
Speaking of Dolce, I sanded off the offending butt-tabs, and the weird ridges they have on their butt so he's all smooth now. He sits and stand just like he did, so they're utterly useless. Unless their use is to be annoying, in which case they do their job perfectly!! Now that they're gone, Dolce is....usable. I went through a phase where I was afraid to touch him because moving him was so damn hard....but he's normal now! I'm actually excited! I also restrung him a little....he had such thick string it was hard to get out, so I'm sure it impeded his movement. I can't even....did I do that? I must have because I'm sure I strung him!! And the knot was in a bad spot (another oops) that got stuck in his thigh.
Plus I ordered his new wig and the hippo ears last night, and Leeke already shipped them!! He'll have them by next week! :D
Hopefully that velvet trim stuff works, and gets here quickly. He could be mostly unicorn-like in no time. All I'll need is wings, and I can go slowly on that....not sure what I want yet. The ears and tail were more important.
Enough updates...if I get pictures later I'll have to make a new post anyway. Because I haven't done that enough lately.

I've been whining that I can't resolve Mir-Dolce-Frapp's wig issue, and that he needs his ears, tail and wings. Well, today I found Leekeworld has the hippo ears in stock, as well as a great wig that might work for him, and I FINALLY found some of that white velvet trim-stuff I used a thousand years ago for Mocha's tail. I've been looking for it for about 4 years now.
If the wig works out, 3 of 4 things will be resolved!!
However I've realized I hate his butt-lock tabs. First I noticed shortly after getting him that they are cracking his butt. It's not a real crack yet, but it's happening. I posted on the Unoa discussion thread about it and at least one other person mentioned they know someone who also had a cracked butt from the tabs. Second, they're annoying as fuck. I mean really. They're hard to navigate when he's naked, almost impossible in the leggins he's wearing now and are cracking him. Why are they even there?!
I was told if I took them off he may not sit anymore...and decided I don't give a crap, they're coming off. And since I have another mod to attempt tonight, it's happening now. Or 6 hours from now when I get home lol
Because, my Shiwoo head has been delivered!! It's at home now! So a quick sanding of his nose will be in order so he can have blankface photos. Though I'm still holding out hope that its dented not chipped and a boiling will fix it. *crosses fingers*
Wish me luck, because all these things have to be done tonight, plus making Des-Soshi a wig....Friday and Sat are reserved for a manic house-cleaning so we can have a meet at our apt....and it's not exactly company-ready. At all. *dies*

New Pictures, Old Dolls
Welllll not really. New pics, yes. Dolls are not so old.
First, the Shiwoo-possibly-to-be-named-Des should arrive tomorrow. I plan on wiping the faceup, fixing the nose and making his wig. No faceup, our weather has been awful for the last two weeks and there's not enough time in the day. And I really shouldn't do any of the other either, there's a doll meet at my house Sunday and I'm not the least bit ready.
I've gotten as ready for him as I can. Pulled out his old wig (because it's a new doll I will always think of him as Soshi...it's the same character remade and put in another universe), put the neck part on the body, played with different hands because I hate the older, chubby Dollzone hands, and then dressed him in his customary red and black. His body looks great!
I have...SD sized hands on him. I know. No one hates mixing sizes more than me...but they're my Doll Chateau Youth hands, so they're tiny SD hands. They're made the same way Dollzone makes hands (only they look nicer) and are the same resin so the same color...and they really just look like large masculine hands. And he's keeping them for now. Until the Shiwoo head gets here and is smaller than they are XD
Since I've been obsessing over this group of dolls I had been bringing Vanilla to work with me. The day I posted the last entry he was wearing neon leopard tights and a cropped blue shirt. That outfit has since gone to "Frapp" (I'm trying) and he's in an even cuter one. Possibly my favorite outfit on any of my dolls right now. So I dragged him back to work, along with Latte for pics (I did it yesterday too, but forgot, of all things, my camera. :\\\\ ).
These are his new eyes.
They fit so much better in the sockets that that alone helps to give him more life. I love that stupid hat!
I couldn't get a good full-body shot, so the pictures are in stages lol And this one is one of my favorites despite it being out of focus
lol he has the hugely platform heels on that I'd bought for my former RS Li...the were huge on her but DMKs have giant feet so they fit him perfectly.This is his casual, day-off outfit. 'Nilla is a "performer", he does a burlesque-ish show (which is why he's in a corset for the very first shoot I ever did of him). He's my Diva.
Now for poor Latte. She's another one of my dolls that came at a bad time for me...right after Tween got his new Dollstown body. I was so happy to have Tween back, and that fabulous body, that when Latte got here I didn't like her much. She was frustrating...I have never owned a FL fullset before, but I've heard a lot of negative things. Well, thankfully, the whole mess fits her just fine, which I was worried about. Nothing was broken (I did have to glue one small part, but it was not a big thing), nothing fell apart when I was trying to get it on. She's in good shape, no weird FL flaws that they've had in the last couple years, her FP doesn't stay on and as usual the magnets don't fit in the damn holes, so eventually I'm going to have to carve them out.......and her wig was awful. Which was a huge disappointment for me since I really liked it in the pictures.
Which is one of my biggest issues with FL. They don't show you what you get. They style things different and add accessories that aren't in fullsets, and I'm still miffed she didn't get the gold eyes (only for her sake. Chibs loves the eyes he got from her ;) ) and have confusing small type that gets missed.
Other than the wig (and eyes to an extent) I do love the set, though it's very complicated. It took me forever to get the bunny hood and mask on her, and I eventually gave up on the hood (which is my favorite part of the whole outfit!!) and the skirt thing that goes over it. I put orange eyes in her (close to the original gold), made Boo's fur wig smaller for her head and gave her Hopscotches alternate ears, put just the mask on her, and finally started liking her.
My other problem with poor Rose (which is her mold name), is that in person, she looks way more mature than the rest of my YO sized bunny group. Even North, who is the oldest-looking one of the bunch. Maybe it's the outfit. Which is kinda slutty for a child. :|
I didn't really like her with the others so I was still thinking of selling her....
But when she kind of adopted the name of Latte (which fits because her hair is all foamy) I thought she'd fit in with the others perfectly, and I finally started getting excited about her again. As a part of this group, she doesn't have to be a child, just a bunny. She can "use" her Steampunk, futury gun, and her look is perfect.
I still didn't like her eyes, so that had to change. Mistake. I could not get her mask back on. It's so hard to do...when I had finally gotten it on the first time I had to angle the strap high up on the back of her head, over her wig. This time I couldn't do it. I just about gave up when I tried putting it on under her wig. FUCK ME I should have tried that the first time. It fits perfectly, is way easier to get on, and is held in place by her freaking wig so it doesn't fall off.
Her new eyes are a dark pink, but actually fit in her head, so yay.
She does not get to keep these ears. They belong to Hopscotch...but my roommate wants to order from Angell Studio, and they have bunny ears. And cat ears (for the Shiwoo) and cat tails for all! So everyone can get their stuff. They are cute on her though!
I do love this fullset. Which is good, that's the whole reason I ordered!
That's it! Hopefully I'll be able to update in the next few days with a Shiwoo, and maybe the whole group. Of five. If I can get that many dolls in one picture... D:

Random Thoughts About Changing Dolls and Coffee
EDIT: OMFG of course after I go off about 20 times today about the unavailability of a MNF Shiwoo head, I manage to grab one. He has a tiny bit of damage, but I'm so way past caring at this point lol FINALLY!!! I'm so excited. I'm going to go restring that DZ body and get the neck part on it now! I'm jumping the gun....I haven't even paid yet D:
Too late, I put the neck part on!! It was easy, I didn't have to restring. Now the body is all ready even though I haven't bought the head yet.
I paid! He's being shipped tomorrow!! :D :D :D Now to figure out my name dilemma....
I know a lot of people have negative opinions on Resinsoul, but I really do love my Song.
Though now I'm having all sorts of second thoughts. I still want a Shiwoo, but since I haven't been successful in getting one I keep changing my mind...and Mirwen or Tika would work pretty damn well for what I want. Too bad I can't get either of them either.
The biggest problem (you would think the lack of a head would be my biggest problem, but no), is that I am leaning toward unifying all these dolls with "themed" names...
Soshi is an issue for me because of his name. Waaay back in the day when I got him I didn't know what to do with him so I just started looking up Japanese names. I didn't really like Soshi, but found myself calling him that in my head and it stuck in a huge way.
Aw Sosh....I do regret selling him.
Probably more than any other doll I've sold....I'll never get him back, not really. He was my first trade, when I sold my first doll (my third doll, I sold my third doll, not first. It was just the first doll I sold), and I drove two hours to get him, then two hours back and straight to a doll meet where he was immediately the star.
His tail is gone....torn apart to make Jean her wig (no regrets. I love that wig), and IF I ever get another Shiwoo (or Tika or Mirwen head) I'll be tearing this wig apart to make him a new one with a few more colors in a less poofy style.
Renaming him will be so hard to do, but maybe with a whole new doll it won't be so bad, even if in my head the character is pretty much the same just in a different story now.
I've been thinking of calling him (assuming I ever get one!!!! FUCKING HELL WHY IS IT SO DAMN HARD TO GET A FREAKING HEAD?!?!?!?!? *cough*) Double-Shot Esspresso, DSE, or Dese/Des for short. Or Java Chip. I like Java, but maybe for another doll (I don't need). Des is a good name. I think I tried naming another doll Des before and it didn't work out...

Now I have to go look at all my unused dolls and see if any of them feel like changing storylines XD

In other news (I know, I wrote a book already. Shut up.), my DF Practice head from MOC is waiting at home for me. I got Milliput over the weekend....so I am ready to mod my heads now. Physically anyway. Mentally I'm still afeard.

Mocha is making me rethink a couple of my dolls right now. He does that every once in a while. I've sold off all the dolls in his "Storyline" and then given him a whole new one. I completely changed his look, something that, at the time, I only did with him successfully. He's hung around while I've sold off many dolls more expensive and sought-after than he is. He's just one of those dolls that always makes me happy.
Recently I added two dolls to his little group of one, and today a third (no, no one new) and now I think a few of my character/dolls are getting renamed and possibly revamped.
First there is Mir, my Unoa L-bi. I don't have a problem with him, though I kind of don't like his wig...but he has a wig somewhere....I got it in a group order but the person still has it. So eventually he might get a better wig, but until then I'm not happy with the one he's got. Mir is supposed to be a Unicorn, and still will be, his name just might not be Mir anymore.
Then there is Vanilla, or 'Nilla, my Dollmore U-Jee. Same thing for him, but not as drastic. Slight name change.
Soshi is the one I'm really having a problem with, and the funny thing is, I don't even have him.
Soshi my (former) MNF Shiwoo, and the one I hope to replace if I can get a head (still no one will sell me one!!). When I owned him the first time around he was a cat demon, with ears, eyes and a tail, in crazy red fur (well not his eyes, but you know what I mean). It works so well with her hair and colors, and since she has crazy future/steampunk accessories and looks so much older than my other YO sized tinies, I think she'll fit in with this doll group perfectly as a bunny, since the others are all animals too (Vanilla is a cat, Mocha is a Kangaroo Rat (I don't know why, he just looks like one to me) Soshi was also a cat, Mir is a Unicorn). I like her so much better already lol and all I did was name her and move her in my doll list XD

Number....7?
It's been a week. Today is the Giant Fundraising Event of DOOM where I work, and we've been nuts all week getting ready for it. I get to go, so I'm all excited now that most of the work is over. All I have to do is last out the day and I can go party.
And I broke my favorite travel mug today. It sucks. Now I have to find another one....I did a fast search and found a black and white stripped one from Kate Spade. It's like, $20 though and not 100% what I want...but it might have to do. Or I'll make a custom Alex Tervis. I've wanted one of those forever...
Between that and plans every freaking night I've had no time for anything, so this is just a quick update...
Last night I officially ordered my 7th Kara Klum. I haven't gotten one from Dollmore since Azrael in 2010, and I've never ordered the OE NS one since Alex I so this was like getting him all over again XD
Hopefully when he's finished (years from now, omfg the plans I have for this thing....) he will not in any way, shape or form resemble Alex I. I have no idea what he's going to be called. He should be VI what with 2.5, but I'm not sure he's going to need a number when he's finished. He'll be obviously not one of the others.
Dollmore sent me my invoice last night, minus shipping and the 10% off, so I paid, and now am that much closer to having him handed to me at Dollism from Dollmore which is a big thing for me lol *lame*
So he's supposed to be my final doll of the year. Here's hoping that happens. The other head, the one I wanted for Shae, was released today as well (of freaking course) but....the ears aren't quite as big as I was expecting so I'm torn. I still want it....but not now. There's supposed to be another order period in July, so hopefully I'll have decided then.
This morning I bought that practice head from MOC to be used in the contest at Dollism. It's going to get the mouth opening mod I want to do the Kara Klum....if I mess up it only cost me $25, if it works out nice, he gets entered in the contest, and I get practice for the real thing. They just emailed me...it shipped already.
I also ordered this skull. A friend forwarded me the email so I could join the preorder. I had to have it.
It's not quite as awesome as the Jungatoy one, that one is an actual BJD head. The Dollclans one isn't, it's just a skull.....but an amazingly awesome one that looks to be pretty much in scale with SD dolls!! HOW COULD I NOT GET IT?! Now I have to come up with another skull name. Yorick maybe? Seems the obvious choice.
So those are my fun things on the way. As well as DZ Carter, who may actually be shipped next month, and the "junk" body I have coming too, either today or tomorrow. I have to order some Milliput....so many mods....

And I broke my favorite travel mug today. It sucks. Now I have to find another one....I did a fast search and found a black and white stripped one from Kate Spade. It's like, $20 though and not 100% what I want...but it might have to do. Or I'll make a custom Alex Tervis. I've wanted one of those forever...
Between that and plans every freaking night I've had no time for anything, so this is just a quick update...
Last night I officially ordered my 7th Kara Klum. I haven't gotten one from Dollmore since Azrael in 2010, and I've never ordered the OE NS one since Alex I so this was like getting him all over again XD
Hopefully when he's finished (years from now, omfg the plans I have for this thing....) he will not in any way, shape or form resemble Alex I. I have no idea what he's going to be called. He should be VI what with 2.5, but I'm not sure he's going to need a number when he's finished. He'll be obviously not one of the others.
Dollmore sent me my invoice last night, minus shipping and the 10% off, so I paid, and now am that much closer to having him handed to me at Dollism from Dollmore which is a big thing for me lol *lame*
So he's supposed to be my final doll of the year. Here's hoping that happens. The other head, the one I wanted for Shae, was released today as well (of freaking course) but....the ears aren't quite as big as I was expecting so I'm torn. I still want it....but not now. There's supposed to be another order period in July, so hopefully I'll have decided then.
This morning I bought that practice head from MOC to be used in the contest at Dollism. It's going to get the mouth opening mod I want to do the Kara Klum....if I mess up it only cost me $25, if it works out nice, he gets entered in the contest, and I get practice for the real thing. They just emailed me...it shipped already.
I also ordered this skull. A friend forwarded me the email so I could join the preorder. I had to have it.
It's not quite as awesome as the Jungatoy one, that one is an actual BJD head. The Dollclans one isn't, it's just a skull.....but an amazingly awesome one that looks to be pretty much in scale with SD dolls!! HOW COULD I NOT GET IT?! Now I have to come up with another skull name. Yorick maybe? Seems the obvious choice.
So those are my fun things on the way. As well as DZ Carter, who may actually be shipped next month, and the "junk" body I have coming too, either today or tomorrow. I have to order some Milliput....so many mods....

Body-Sharing; Does it work?
Ok, so I realize I just posted, but I keep thinking about this so I needed to do another one real quick.
I'm wondering everyone's opinions on body-sharing (two heads, same body, different characters for the non-bjd peeps. If there ever were any). Do you do it? If so, how does it work for you?
I've been unable to do this myself the entire time I've been collecting. I've tried a couple times; it seems like a good idea and it would cut down on the number of full dolls I've got laying around....but it never worked out. First I tried it with Alex, and it really wasn't even body sharing because it was always him, just different heads. That never worked because I'd always miss the Alex who was in the box.
And it was too difficult for me to share other characters because what if I needed them both at the same time? Or I needed different bodies?? Or something?
So I've never body-shared. I think I bought a few heads intending too, but failed and bought them bodies.
Well I'm thinking it might be time to start doing this for real now.
I bought that Migidoll Ell head to be Marcus (third time is a charm, right??), and since Marcus is an OC he gets priority - and his body back.
My Volks Heath head has been on it for months now as Gambit. Marcus and Gambit (and Gambit used to be Marcus heh heh - aren't BJDs fun?) are nowhere near the same universe and will never cross paths and so I feel like the sharing thing could work. It was going to be temporary...but I really don't want anymore SDs laying around, so now I'm wondering if I could make it permanent.
The other reason I was thinking of this is because there is a head I found that has yet to be released that would make a great Shae, and I would eventually love to have Theresa back and possibly in a different doll....so that would be two more SDs.
At this point the only two dolls I would consider selling are Jubilee and Wolverine. Just because I've not "bonded" to either one of them....
But Jubilee is a Delf type 1 and could easily lend her body out to another head...for Theresa (I still have Theresa's original body, but it's now Sage, and has the neck-key, which will never come out again lol)
And Shae is supposed to be a big guy, and if that head fits on the Granado body....Yeah. If I can get over my mental block on body-sharing I could get their heads and not worry about the bodies. Marcus and Shae should never have to be photographed together so they'd be a great choice to share. That would be all the SDs I think I want in the future unless I get Sage's twin, and I bet I could share him too - with...someone. Or get a cheaper body for him so if he doesn't work out it's not a huge loss. I also might want to get my DK Aqua a body, but he's so white I don't know if I can get Sage's twin in a color to match....so I don't know if that will ever happen.

A few quick updates on goings on.
Doll-A-Kon is over so I can set my sights on Dollism. I am way excited to go to Dollism, see more people I've never met irl, hang out with doll peoples and their dolls (yay!), see vendors and DOLLMORE!! I will probably be spending all my money at Oscar doll, because, eyes! And I'm already planning what dolls I want to bring (which is hard because I keep wanting to drag all my Kara Klums along. Not the greatest idea...).
I plan on hopefully entering 3 of the contests, one for sure, the other two depend on stuff, so it may or may not happen. I want to start working on those entries soon so I have time to do them. I have to pick up a few supplies for one of them first...so it won't be happening for a while anyway.
Aaaaaand this week I'm ordering my 7th Kara Klum, 5th full, and 4th full/new from Dollmore. And 2nd NS OE. Only Alex I had this honor, until now, and I will be ordering my first doll again. Which is weird already....I was on the page doing a mock order and it was so....deja vu. Oh the nostalgia lol. I don't remember the excitement of ordering all my dolls, but I remember everything about ordering Alex (because it was so huge and scary back in the day), and this is bringing it all back. So strange.
I bought a Migidoll Ell head a couple weeks back, it was right after they announced their new body - which I love the look of - and the day they discontinued the old A and B resin colors....I decided to give Marcus another go, and figured that since part of my issues with him were his looking good with David and Alex, I'd do what I did with Isis and go with Migi. Though with Isis I went with Dollmore, since it was more important she look good with Alex. Migidoll is one of my other all-time favorite companies, so I thought it was a safe bet...I was a little worried about them looking too similar to Ryu however (since I think all the molds after Ryu and Miho sort of look like the two of them - a few exceptions of course), but after some help on DOA I figured they were plenty different. Plus I really wanted Volks matching....so I had no choice but to order right then.
He came less than a week later XD and it was the day I left for Texas, so I had time to put him on his body - the Grando 64 he's always had...which is now Gambit. So they have to share - and toss on a wig.....and realize that I somehow lost his other wig :// and find that I have no eyes for him....
He's been sitting blank ever since. I might drag him out tonight and prep him for a faceup. I also have an Alexcorn to do. I spent hours before going to my Dad's for the weekend stripping Conie of all pink (or most pink) and now he's ready for his transformation from fluffeh pink pretties to evil. And I REALLY like him blank. I liked him with pink, but all white he's so cute and pretty!! I can't wait to blush him. I'm starting tonight for sure.
Lastly, I bought a "junk" body off DOA for one of the heads I had for sale. I'd like to try a specific mod and this body will work with...work. lol
Not sure about the head, but I have it, so it's going to have to do. I'd like something with a little more expression, but everything that might work is too expensive or a non-split (if it's not selling, why not split?! I don't get it....I always make more with a split)
This body should be shipped today....It'll need some cleaning and sanding, and then some modding. I am thinking of making the chest smaller, I'm keeping it a girl but I don't want her to have big boobs...then I want to do a one-arm mod. I'm thinking a plug of somesort, with a hole to string the other arm into so the tension is still there. The head will be getting scars and a one-eye mod.
In theory of course. I don't know why I'm all about crazy mods right now....I've barely done any small mods and now I want to saw off jaws and make one-arms and fangteeth. OH WELL
So that's where I am. I think I need to go update my project list....

Photos of the New Kids. And a couple old ones.
I snapped some quick shots yesterday, so here are all my new acquisitions from Doll-A-Kon!
This is Nevermore by the Mushroom Peddler. He's my 5th MP doll, but I only have three since I sold the other two XD
I seriously doubt I'll sell him, I love crows and ravens and have wanted one in BJD form for quite a while...
He's very small, like, Puki-small, but that's the usual size she does for convention dolls. He's also wearing the Oscar Mirror Eyes I bought as a temporary fix for him. I do think they're too small, I'd have preferred 12mms, but there was only one pair of 12s and they were light blue, which wasn't what I wanted. Nappy Alex will be getting them, as they're his size...and I am so into getting Alex these eyes. Not all of them probably, but at least several...
Next up, Doll Factory Conie. Who I keep calling Connie. He's wearing Baby Alex's old eyes, which are what I wanted for him anyway....
Conie was a pleasant surprise. I had been wanting one for probably a year or more, and then there he was! Even more of a surprise...this little thing can pose. His massive head is top-heavy, and he has tiny hoofies to stand on, and single-joints, but he does all kinds of fun things. I really should have done more than just have him stand there, his waist joint lets him bend around and he can stand on one foot pretty easily. I had lots of time to mess with him while at my table lol
I've already made him a new tail, and I plan on wiping all his blushing and redoing him completely, using fur instead of his resin mane and tail.
On to Bellghast! Poor thing...he's a little more interesting in person than in photos XD
I plan on sanding him a little where he's kinda rough in spots, getting him jewels for eyes, and going with a blue/grey look cause he's a ghost. My incoming DZ Carter will enjoy him as a pet I think...
He is actually a strung doll and the back of his head comes off. His ear-thingys are held on by magnet, which is great for transporting him. I am totally in love with this guy, I kind of want another one to live permanently on my desk at work.
All three together! This is how they hang. Poe the Raven and Eek the Bellghast will probably be together more often, but Conie is an AU and is kind of by himself.
But since they're all my dolls they can be where-ever I want them to be lol

Speaking of Baby Alex
Not a great picture, but more Oscar Eyes. He got so many compliments all weekend on those eyes. People who didn't know I'd bought new ones mentioned them. But then he is all eye. Which is funny because they're just 14s, they look bigger in him than big Alex (who also has them, but I didn't get pictures).
Now some Chibs because Chibs just doesn't get enough love. I should have brought him to the con, but I didn't and he's the only one I really wished I'd had there.
He also has Oscar eyes, but these are the ones I got with my LTF. He has a new BF, Baby Godzilla, who was a gift from my awesome friend for my Birthday. He's been hanging on Chibs ever since.
All sizes of Alex have that Ramones shirt. Someday I'll dress them all up to match. But it'll have to be Alex III as Chibs and Mini share a blond wig. I need to get another one....
So that's my stuff! Everyone has a plan except Poe, who will stay blank for a while until I figure out how to blush black resin. Good thing he looks fine just like that. Eventually if I get tired him he'll get to be Skullface Jr, as I think his face sculpt would make a good skull. Dead raven would be awesome. But not right now. I kind of like him as is.

Ravens and Ghosts and Unicorns, oh my!
As usual, Blogger claims I don't follow any blogs...so my attempt to play the catch-up game has been delayed.
I was hoping to have some photos for this post, but I had lunch with friends so I didn't get any. Oh well.
I'm back from A-kon and Doll-A-kon! I've been in Texas since Thursday, and got home last night after a slight delay that set us back an hour-ish. The flight was fast, and the attendants were funny so it was ok. Plus, y'know, we landed. That's always good XD
Doll-A-kon was fabulous!! I had a great time. Huge thanks to the Doll-A-kon staff, you know I love you guys <3333
My faceup panel went well (at least no one told me I sucked or threw things at me, so that's good!), the Market room was great, and I got to meet so many people, hang out with old friends I rarely get to see, and finally see some in person for the first time (it was great to finally meet you Andarton!!). I also spent more money than I originally meant too....
First there was the charity auction. I immediately fell in love with "Steve" a BJD sculpted by Don Kinny. He was a little pricey for me, even in an auction, but I did bid on his kit. When the Market opened I realized the Doll Peddler was there, which I hadn't known. I wandered over to see what they were offering and found two things I knew I had to get. The first were Oscar Mirror eyes. I have been obsessed with these for while now, but they're either all sold out or just hard to get. DP had a zillion of them. They're the only official dealer. I knew immediately I would be buying at least one pair *cough4cough* of them, probably for an Alex.
They also seem to be the last dealer for Doll Factory and had two Conies, one pink and one brown. I've had Conie on my so-called-and-now-kind-of-gone wishlist for a year. I flip-flopped around all day Friday and was pretty set on buying one by Saturday morning. The only thing I actually ended up getting Friday was one pair of Oscar eyes for Alex (III). As soon as I put them in I was totally hooked. The are the most amazing eyes I have ever owned. I also realized that the eyes Chibi Alex has that came with my LTF Rose are definitely Oscar eyes as well (I'd been wondering).
I got outbid on the Steve kit but decided to try again and ran it up some. Then I kind of regretted it....I really wanted Conie. Saturday morning almost first thing I went over and bought him from Doll Peddler, along with two more pairs of eyes (one for my best friend, one for Baby Alex - who was also with me). I ended up getting the blushed-with-pink one and kept calling him a she because of the pink, but I liked it better for a temporary fix before I customize the hell out of it than the brown....I really should have gotten the brown though, because I bet the pink one would have sold to someone else and I'm going to wipe it anyway....
Saturday we also got the delivery of the official Convention Doll, which was a Raven in black resin sculpted by the Mushroom Peddler. His sculpt name is Nevermore. A freaking black raven. About two years ago when she had asked on her forum what animal we would like to see I had said crow or raven. BOOOO WHY?!
They put one of those in the auction as well, and I bid on that too (hoping I'd get outbid on Steve lol - I did.). I did win Nevermore - for about 40 less than original price! So yay! Two dolls, both anthros, after I sold most of mine and decided not to ever get more. LOL WHO NEEDS RULES!!!
I bought him a pair of Oscar eyes too, even though they're a bit too small, because his default eyes took up his whole head and I was having trouble getting them back in - and I wanted another pair. They're also blue, so they will go to my Nappy Cho (Nappy Alex) when I get around to making him a new pair from the eye blanks I got over the weekend.
And then I was so lucky to receive a Bellghast from SundanceKidStudios as a gift at the end of the weekend. She was my table-neighbor in the market and surprised me with him Sunday night during the break-down. He's so freaking cute!! I can't wait to get to work on him. Originally I was going to go with a red theme, but I think I'm going to go blue and grey now, to make him more ghostly. I was going to call him Boo2 because he looks like a Boo, but now I think he might need a better name, that's not used by two of my dolls already, since he's so damn cute (he's sitting on my desk right now XD).
Well I suppose I should get back to work now, since I is there. Hope everyone is doing well!

I got outbid on the Steve kit but decided to try again and ran it up some. Then I kind of regretted it....I really wanted Conie. Saturday morning almost first thing I went over and bought him from Doll Peddler, along with two more pairs of eyes (one for my best friend, one for Baby Alex - who was also with me). I ended up getting the blushed-with-pink one and kept calling him a she because of the pink, but I liked it better for a temporary fix before I customize the hell out of it than the brown....I really should have gotten the brown though, because I bet the pink one would have sold to someone else and I'm going to wipe it anyway....
Saturday we also got the delivery of the official Convention Doll, which was a Raven in black resin sculpted by the Mushroom Peddler. His sculpt name is Nevermore. A freaking black raven. About two years ago when she had asked on her forum what animal we would like to see I had said crow or raven. BOOOO WHY?!
They put one of those in the auction as well, and I bid on that too (hoping I'd get outbid on Steve lol - I did.). I did win Nevermore - for about 40 less than original price! So yay! Two dolls, both anthros, after I sold most of mine and decided not to ever get more. LOL WHO NEEDS RULES!!!
I bought him a pair of Oscar eyes too, even though they're a bit too small, because his default eyes took up his whole head and I was having trouble getting them back in - and I wanted another pair. They're also blue, so they will go to my Nappy Cho (Nappy Alex) when I get around to making him a new pair from the eye blanks I got over the weekend.
And then I was so lucky to receive a Bellghast from SundanceKidStudios as a gift at the end of the weekend. She was my table-neighbor in the market and surprised me with him Sunday night during the break-down. He's so freaking cute!! I can't wait to get to work on him. Originally I was going to go with a red theme, but I think I'm going to go blue and grey now, to make him more ghostly. I was going to call him Boo2 because he looks like a Boo, but now I think he might need a better name, that's not used by two of my dolls already, since he's so damn cute (he's sitting on my desk right now XD).
Well I suppose I should get back to work now, since I is there. Hope everyone is doing well!

Doll-A-Kon
UPDATE:
So I'm packed. My suitcase is 50 lbs. Not quite, but close, leaving me no room at all. I can't buy anything lol. Hopefully I'll be able to sell something so I have more room. Just saying.
I'm kind of freaking out. Usually I pack the dolls better but I didn't really have the room to do so....I hope everyone survives.
See you at Doll-A-Kon!!
Is this weekend. Hopefully I will see people there! :D
I'll be doing a faceup demo again, and a hybrid panel, and then I'll be in the Doll-Akon vendor room (not the A-kon one) along with real vendors such as MOC. Lol. Me and MOC. It makes me laugh uncontrollably.
I am kind of stressing out over, pretty much everything right now, as I leave Thursday and even though I think I'm ready I don't think I'm ready. And I have no idea what dolls I want to bring. I've pretty much decided to only go with two Kara Klums, and since Skullface is going to be one of them, that means Alex I has to stay home. I've never gone to a doll function without him. There may be issues.
Probably not, I'll have III with me. He's almost as good, and as the only one remaining with tattoos of any kind he's the best choice. Plus the hair. He's a good con-doll as he's visible from space - I will easy to spot!

I want to bring a mixture of decent faceups and hybrids, which is the reason for these dolls. Uriel has the oldest faceup of all of them, other than Boo and Baby Alex, but all three are hybrids. Sage is another good hybrid, and so is Mini David since I had to mod the hell out of him to get him to work, but traveling with Elf ears makes me nervous. Trevor remains, IMO, my best faceup ever, but he's not a hybrid. Mini Alex would literally just be going along for the ride, as would 'Nilla. Big Boo is kind of a hybrid within his own company, but he's kind of high maintenance.
I can't decide.
If anyone going would like to request, please do! XDD
Skullface and Alex III are absolute, so that's two I have already. Traveling with Skullface freaks me out, but I can't leave him behind, he's awesome, I have to share. I wish I had a stand big enough for him!! He's too tall for the one I have XD
