All things coming and going.

I wanted to wait until everything was here to do an entry since I had a lot of stuff shipped at the same time - or close to it - and since it's all accounted for now; stuff!

ARRIVED
I touched on my plans for the MNF Karsh I got in a trade - he got here, broken ear and all - last week. I restrung him, gave him a good cleaning then sanded off his little elfy ears so he's a peoples now. I haven't actually thought to photograph the mod, but I think I did a good job.

Anyway here is Nightwing, or Dick Grayson, former first Robin, current spy and kind of adopted son of Bruce Wayne. Someday when he's got his costume I'll have to get a shot of him with Batman....but for now he's in street clothes. Which is weird thanks to the permanent mask.

Still need eyes for him, and a better wig. I kind of butchered this one (hence the hat) and I'm out of black fur because everyone under the freaking sun has black hair.  I like him. I am driven insane by the chest of the MNF body (as usual) but if I can suede him, he'll be fine. I had to get him new hands too, he came with the girliest hands MNF has. Seriously. The hands were at DDE so they've already yellowed some, but they need more yellowing. This poor thing is not new. Lol

Also newly showed up on my doorstep - a last minute (and I say last minute because the actual negotiations as it were, were fast and we shipped the next day XD) trade! Yesterday I received a LTF Shiwoo boy, which is so fabulous....because poor Chibi Bats was actually on a girl body. A quick switch and now I finally have Catwoman in doll form. Chibi doll form....but still!!

She's also no where near finished. That wig doesn't fit her (and again - no fur), the hat and goggles are a temporary fix for her costume, she needs eyes, boots and a more feminine faceup so she actually looks like a girl.

Originally I wanted a Mio to be Selina in LTF form, but I need a LTF boy to switch with Batman's body (and I only intend to own three Chibis - got the two, three is on the way. Well he's ordered. He'll get here eventually.), so I figured I'd just use this one temporarily until I can get ahold of a Mio....but Shiwoo's eyes are a great shape, so she's staying. I can make her look girly!

She kind of reminds me of the Selina from Gotham.

Finally, Ringdoll shipped my K head already! He also arrived this week (busy busy) and I have to say, if this guy had a body already I'd probably be ignoring all other dolls right now. I am totally in love with this head. I mean LOVE.

I've always been a fan of the ones that aren't model-gorgeous, and I tend to roll my eyes when people go on and on about how realistic Iplehouse is....because they're only realistic in a world where not one person has any flaws, they all spend their lives in a gym and are sickeningly perfect :P

Like in a romance novel.

I've named him John Doe for now as I'm...only kind of sure what I'm doing with him. I have drawings, mostly scribbles. I have had an inability to draw since the spring and have had a notebook for the last several months I've been doodling in...mostly a nameless guy (which is where I got John Doe) who looks just like K's fullset minus the cleric clothes. Which is why I was so blown away when they showed their pictures of him for the first time. And why I had to own him, even if I could only get the blank head.

I'm already mentally going through my dolls, trying to figure out what I can part with to get money to buy him a body. Everyone else just got moved to the bottom of the list.

ON THE WAY

Still waiting on LTF Pongpong. It's been about a month I guess.....so I probably have at least three to go. Which is killing me. I want him so badly right now lol

Ordered two stands, a pair of pants and shoes from Alice. No word on that.

DECISIONS - The "GOINGS"

I feel like I've sold a lot of dolls this year, and I'm really considering others right now. It's kind of a big decision because I've had them for years, I have a lot of accessories for them I have spend $$ on, and I had all these plans....

But I think I have to sell my Puki's. 

Ok, I don't have to sell anyone. Ever. But they live in a bag....and I don't think I've touched them all year. Not even at Halloween which is when they usually come out. 

I'm almost afraid to do it though. It was hard to get them all together and the way I want. It took time, money, patience.... I'd get rid of all of them and everything except for Alex (Chichi) who I'd keep. And whatever FPs I have that I can use for him, his clothes, and accessories......and really that's it. Everything else can go. The only reason I haven't sold them already (or at least put them up for sale) is because I'm really scared I'll regret it.

But then again.

It's been a year at least since I touched them last. I don't even look at them. 

I started collecting this size by accident (for reals), oddly related to MNF Karsh who I seem to have issues with too lol, and the only reason I've gotten so many and so into it is that I have problems with Alex existing on his own. But since getting Chibi Alex for my birthday in 2013 I feel like that's changed. I have gotten rid of most of my Mini versions of the characters -right now all I have left together is Alex and Wyn. Kimi is destined to become Robin and David is in pieces, Aishe is just a head and Uriel is gone and Isis is both Catwoman and Harley Quinn- leaving Alex by himself because Wyn will fit in with my other Mini group perfectly (and i'm not selling him) so I don't worry about him. I like having just the one group of them in SD form. I should just sell the Puki group.....and move Puki Alex into the Halloween crew. He'd work with them. I'm sure he and the Alexcorn will get along XD

 I also might end up selling my WD Werewolf cub, simply because I've still not given him a faceup!

But that leaves me with just two in that size....and I'm not sure I like that number.

But for sure I am putting up my Soom Flint. I feel like it was just a matter of time for him. Another one I might regret. Then again, my AS Kimo and Soom Afi hybrid are still unsold, so I may end up having to keep them all!! Maybe I can offer all three up for a trade or something :/

The other big one I'm waffling over is Mini-David, my Migidoll Mir/latidoll hybrid. As I mentioned, I have issues leaving Alex alone in his doll-world, but Mini David is just not working for me. I don't like the Lati body and it is literally the only one in existence that will work with that head. I would have sold it already if he'd worked on either the Grando body (which has been sitting on my self headless since I got it) or the Iplehouse one would have worked, but I would need to mod more off the head for either of them, and they still aren't tall enough. The head is visually too big for everything else. I might see if I can get him on a Soulddoll Vito body (I have a friend who owns one)....but I think it will be too childish for that monster. It really needs to be a more masculine head.

My other option is to sell him as a full doll and just get a SD Vito and try to make it David.

Or just not own a Mini-David anymore (which is really looking to be my #1 choice). If Alex can't survive on his own.....I'll turn him into an extra in my Batman-verse. XD He can complain a lot and wear a mask or something.  If that doesn't work I'll work on mini-David version four. Ugh.

Well, tying all this out has kind of decided me on all fronts I think.  I have a lot of sales pictures to take this weekend. My shelf might finally be empty enough to move all my DC guys (and girl) so they can sit together instead of all over the place. Which will be nice.

EDIT: I tried adding a cut to this so it didn't appear so long....but as usual it didn't work. I don't know why mine never does - maybe because I use Safari on a Mac? A lot of internet won't work right for me because of that.

Bodies, bodies everywhere.

So one of the main reasons I put a crap-ton of my dolls\parts up for sale was to make some room and thin out the herd, so to speak. But I also seem to need a bunch of bodies for heads and dolls that just needed an upgrade.

EDIT: Ooh I'm so excited - Wyn's body shipped, Kirks head just shipped!! I hope Kirk works. I have an outfit planned for him already so I need to get him a body. *crosses fingers*

A quick rundown of who needs a body:

Mini David - Migidoll Mir - has been on a Lati Blue body, but I've decided I hate it. I spent a lot of time looking for something as tall...and i've decided it just doesn't exist. Something that is close was the Granado body however, and it looks really nice. They opened up for a very short time to sell parts, so I had to buy it then. So Mini David actually has his body on the way.

I sold Wyn's body last week and thanks to all the sales I've had, I have enough to get to get him a new one. I've been set on Dollstown, but I was unsure of which one. My choices were the DT 15yr boy, 13yr girl and 15yr girl, since all three are up for sale on the MP right now. After freaking out about it all day, I decided the 15yr is the way to go and pmed that person - sadly I'll have to get the whole doll and I don't need the head....but it's not like the 15yr girl is readily available, so I don't have much choice. I'm really hoping this works out. Wyn has been due some fixing up for years. It would be nice to have him perfect for a change.

Sage or Gabriel will probably be next on the list. I'd really like to have Sage taller and slimmer, and Gabriel has never had a body, so it would be nice to get her moving. Kirk needs to ship so I can see if he will work out before I think about bodies for him and Spock.

I probably won't be selling Mini David's Lati body. I have....tentative plans for it, even though I hate it. We'll see if they pan out.

Also also, what do you guys think about back drops? I've been looking at them on Ebay but I'm unsure about actually pulling the trigger...which is silly, I should just do it.

All the Villains

Remember how I said I was working on Harley Quinn?

 She's a WIP still - I need to work on or redo her faceup - it was done on a day I should not have been doing faceups and is messier than I'd like (some of the mess was done deliberately, some was not. XD). The wig she's wearing is a Monique Jojo in white blond (Alex's) in a 6/7 and I swear it's too small for her. I always thought Unoa's wore a 6/7, but thinking about it, both Macchi and Clover have on 7/8s. So maybe not. She needs new eyes (those are gappy) and lots and lots of clothes. Lots of clothes. I have a list of props I want for her too. they all need props!!

 She works great with Joker.

 

She's on my Dollmore Judith body (Isis is not gone forever - I'm definitely keeping her head...but while I'm on this DC kick she won't be making anymore appearances), which is a PERFECT comic book girl body. I mean perfect. I actually had said that the first night I had Isis, after taking her out of her elaborate full set and playing with her a little. Her head is the Unoa Sist Bully plate. I have a Lusis Yawn plate I borrowed from a friend she's going to use as well.

She's very camera shy. The first day I had her together I posed her and Joker all over the place...and they were great. When I got out my camera she refused to even stand next to him. That pic took forever and it sucks lol

Joker got an Arkham uniform (version 1) so he can do things like sit around incarcerated.

 

 Also the cards. Might be a tad small, but they're better than the alternative which are giant. Sad thing is, I don't believe this deck has an actual Joker in it :(

 I've put up pretty much all the resins I intend to sell in the last couple of weeks - and it's a lot. I have a huge list of trades on each thread I'm trying very hard to stick too, and the very first thing I sold was a partial trade that included a Unoa FP and a Fairyland Minifee Mir head. Mir was the down payment and shipped last week. After he shipped, but before he arrived, I realized for sure that he wouldn't work for what I'd intended.... At the same time I was offered and turned down a trade for a doll not on my list, for another item I was selling.

I was looking at Dollzone's Benjamin, a very unique sculpt, and trying to decide if I needed one to possible be the Scarecrow....but I figured it would be a shame to cover that face with a mask....and he'd do better on a DC body. And omg realized what I'd done in turning down that trade only about an hour before.

So for the first time in my life I pmed someone and was all "I'm so sorry for changing my mind but would they still want to do the trade?" Yes I'm a flake. But seriously. This will be the prefect Scarecrow. PERFECT. And I didn't think about it at all until it was almost too late. *fail*

 While I was waiting to hear back from them I realized who Mir could be.

Anyone watch Gotham??

My camera hates him. Obviously he's even more a WIP than Harley. I am 100% sure he'll work out though - with the right faceup and wardrobe. And again, props (these villains need so many props!!! WHY?!). He's on a temporary body, but it might end up being permanent - it's an odd shape for him and he fits it weird. Mir has a very long chin and the head just eats all necks - even with the FL neck key (which I'm using). It works for this character however - he's a little on the awkward side. The body is also SHORT.

EDIT: he also got his new eyes today!! I have to take some pictures....they're definitely different.

So with another hairs cut, better clothes, a faceup, eyes...shoes (he's barefoot)...pretty much everything, I think Oswald Cobblepot will be a thing. I have glasses at home I need to look at - cause he needs some version of those too.

Since I'll have four of them I thought it would be fun for them to all have prison uniforms together....except I remembered Penguin has probably never been in Arkham...being sane and all. He'll have to settle for Blackgate greys. I'm sure Jonathan Crane will look good in orange.

Since I'm obsessed with these guys right now I haven't done much with my other dolls (other than disassemble some to sell - poor Wyn. He's a head in a box!!), but due to horrible weather it's not like I can. I have a few things on order: another possible Captain Kirk head, chattering teeth and eyes for Joker, eyes for another doll, an umbrella and a purple zombie lamb hat...but that's it. I am hoping to scrape up the money for bodies for Wyn and either Sage (yeah, another new body for her) or Spock or Kirk or Gabriel. Assuming Kirk works out when he gets here. Fingers crossed. I don't have a back up this time. D:

Ugh

After a mass apartment cleaning Friday night and all day Saturday, we managed to have a Doll Meet at our place. It went great, then my moms car broke down and I spent the next two days driving her around, and coming down with a sinus infection or horrible cold or something. Thanks to cold medicine which takes my brain away, I couldn't manage to do anything at all all week....so now I'm behind on life.

During this week I had a lot of shippings and some arrivals however....Plus my copy of The Pale Emperor by Marilyn Manson - which I am now obsessed with.

Luts: long story short, I ordered, on a whim, their Plush SD body. XD It should be here in a day or so. I can't even wait for this lol

Etsy: My two clothes orders shipped and one should be here any day now.
Benedict should also ship today - at least that's what I was told. Still haven't gotten a notice yet. But yay!!

I am in talks to get an Fdoll body, so hopefully that will happen soon - this will be for Rowan, Sage's twin, so he'll have a body! Which means I need to figure out their wig sitch. I either need a new wig for Sage or a decent wig for Ro. They can't share the same one....it doesn't work.

F60 Soony is still fabulous on her SD10 body. I am working on different hands for her. The Zaoll hands are great for now tho.

And most fun - my MNF Celine (trade for Bory) showed up this week!!

This is not a final look. At least for now it's not. He came with this faceup, which is a little girly for me, but since I'm still not in a place where I can do them, it will be fine for now. Nail polish must come off. He may keep the eyes - and I have been dying to use that wig ever since I sold the doll I dyed it for eons ago. If he doesn't keep it, it'll be natural colors of either a pale blond or darker blond/black mix. I love this one tho >.< and so far it doesn't seem to be bleeding! Yay!

I was thinking he'd be a deer, but with the blue hair....I'm not sure about deer anymore.

Between him and my MNF Soony, there are three names I'm considering:

I can't decide which fits him better, and which fits Soony (who is a panda with Macchi's original fur wig - white with a few color streaks) better. Celine is a photographer who turned paparazzi, Soony is a Panda techno-geek. Ugh. At least I know how they fit into Mocha's storyline. They have to be the last too, I was originally only going to have three. THREE. Mocha, Des and Macchi. Then four when Vanilla happened, and that was it. Now there's way more than that!! And I really want that Island Doll Wind girl who's name I can't remember for one of them >.< that may never happen...

Random trades are both my bane and favorite thing ever. lol

One Down.

The F60 Soony head arrived yesterday. I had a specific look I wanted for it, mostly shorter and chunkier than Sage on her Delf body, and as gender androgynous as possible....so there wasn't much for me to choose from. Last night my friend let me try the Soony head on her Volks SD10 girl body and it was pretty much perfect other than the hideous hands those poor things have. I was excited and planned to purchase one off of the MP first thing this morning, but by the end of the night she decided to sell me hers! So instead of a head arrival, it was actually a full doll! And I'm down one floating head! I even found a wig that with a quick cut will be exactly what I wanted. I put some hands on the body last night, but today I remembered both my Zaoll girls are using Delf hands so I'm totally putting the Zaoll hands on her tonight. The fit of the head isn't great, I'm hoping it will improve with a neck piece (I put a WTB up already - F60 or Delf) but for now with a larger S-hook, it's fine. I really wish she had a faceup, I would love to use her for the next photo challenge!! It'll just have to be Sage.

This means Gabriel is being put on hold until I either sell something or by some miracle get a head I want in a trade. Still between Elfdoll Vivien and Supia Ariel on probably the Loongsoul 63cm body. Leaning toward Ariel just for easy access.

Got a trade offer for my Bory, tomorrow I ship him off and prepare for a Minifee Celine boy in tan. Since I've never owned a tan MNF or a Celine, I'm excited....even though it's another mnf boy body XDD at least it's not the muscle version! 5th time is the charm...right? I'm pretty sure he's going to move in with Mocha's group, and become a paparazzi deer. Yeah. Also figured out the MNF Soony/Unoa, I think. Panda techno geek. I have wanted a Panda themed doll since about 2009. Still needs a name. I'll think of something.

Sadly, I'm probably putting my Peakswoods Wake Up Goldie up for sale after this weekend. I've thought about it and with my other Goldie, Kimi (who is my goth girl), Sage and this new Soony....I don't feel as though I need her, and it's not like I've done anything at all with her in the last year or more. It's depressing, she was a dream doll of mine, but she's not really....doing it for me in my collection. I'm probably going to have to take a huge loss on her as she was not cheap, but they're just not selling well right now. I'm going to miss her vampire bite. But it's not like that mattered to her character in any way. I think I'll be better off moving her on.

Still have a lot of stuff on order that has yet to ship, but for right now no trades floating around! Tomorrow that will change XD

This is the Rosy Brown UV. Everyone was right in saying it's not like most environmental resin....I'm happy I went with it. It's a great color. Looks pretty much like this in person XD I'm already considering a next and final one - one of these guys in Sweet Green to be a Frankenstein since I've got a vampire and werewolf. Must have all movie monsters!! ALL OF THEM!! And they are about to release some in a sheep skin. That I think my Sandman needs so he can be his own sheep! It never ends.....

Quick Update - Wolf Cub Arrival!

I'll see about posting pictures soon, but I'm excited and can't wait:

My Withdoll Werewolf Coco finally arrived today! It sat in customs forever. Since Thursday. I had to run out at lunch today to pick him up. I found my front tire flat (thank you cold weather) and all my tires were low, so I ran around like a crazy person until I found a gas station with air. Half my lunch later I was able to run by the house and grab the boxes.

I unboxed him and started putting on the wolfy parts - accidentally unstringing him in the process. I found some dental floss and was able to get him back together....now I know something else that needs to be added to my doll-kit! It worked great. The fur skin didn't want to go over one claw, so I took it off and used the floss again to pull his arm through and get the claw back on XD Yay floss!!

Lunch was over then - I had to eat while I worked - so no pictures or anything. From the little handling I've done so far I just love him. Not only is he totally adorbes but seems to be very high-quality. Sturdy joints, well made, the color (Rosy Brown UV) is just gorgeous and he's not translucent at all, only the very tips of his little claws....which is kind of realistic and cool.

He sits and stands well, the wolf skin is the best thing ever, and if I glue the magnets to his head cap (which is what I've been doing for ears lately) it'll hold on his wig and all will be well. I only regret not having eyes for him yet....I'll have to look at what I've got but I'm not confident. The eye box is running low. They sent brown acrylics, so he at least has eyes (and for some reason I had a lump of eye putty on my desk, or he wouldn't have them in XD ) but brown isn't the color I wanted - red, yellow or blue. I don't know which yet, but one of those. I can't wait to play with him!! I'll try and grab some pictures tomorrow.

So I think I'm going to order a head this weekend that will be (hopefully) Gabriel. I looked at Supia the other day and Ariel is perfect. She kind of resembles Rian, and Vivien and even Olea (who all have a similar look IMO), only she's actually got an open mouth and is available to buy now as opposed to impossible to get like Vivien. the tiny bit of research I've managed to do revealed that her neck is the same as the neck on the Loongsoul 63cm body, which is the body I am looking to get for her...so hopefully that'll work.

I am also contemplating ordering a Little Rebel Tenten head when the preorder starts....just because I've always wanted one of her dolls, and Tenten is my favorite. Because Teeth. I dunno. I've never ordered a doll just because before - with no idea whatsoever of what I'll do with it....so it might not happen. But I'd really like one. Like I need another floating head :\

Stuff I'm waiting on
F60 Soony Elf is on the way. This head has a character all ready for it, I just need....everything. Wig, eyes, body.....yeah. But it's going to be Sage's best friend (Sage will be next weeks challenge doll - I'm always excited about her character) and my second half-elf. This one is half elf, half dwarf. I'd like a chubby, short body for it, but I don't think that exists....oh well.

Dollmore: Clothes, parts, another Fine head and a DMK body

Alice Collections: Sherlock and Khan clothing and a really expensive outfit for Ryuji cause he never gets anything ever. Alex got a pair of shoes because I swear I can't buy things without buying for him too. >.<

Etsy: Monstro and Cyristine Creations clothes ordered for Little Wyn (and Mini Alex), and the Benedict Cumberbatch head....none of which have shipped.

Other stuff
The shirts I ordered from MOC for Metatron and his two future alter-egos fit beautifully. It makes me more confident to order clothes for him now (hence the giant AC order). I also ordered Alex one shirt. He's wearing it now.

Ryuji's new body - the new Soom Super Gem - showed up. I had some issues stringing it, but figured it out and he's good to go. It's way whiter than he is, and his faceup makes him darker still! So he need to be redone. And he's a big chunk now lol it's like he shrunk and put on weight!! It's ok though, he fits in pretty much everything, including the jacket made for him when he was an El which didn't fit him on the Popo body. So YAY!

Unoa Butt-tabs are my Nemesis.

I'm not kidding. I think they exist in the world simply to annoy the shit out of me. Other than that they serve no function at all!! URG! They have to go.

Saturday the package containing a Unoa body and Fairyland MNF Juri 14 head arrived at my door!

It was in the exact condition that was specified - perfect other than one thing.

The previous owner lost one of it's arms XD
She was able to buy a new set of arms, but they're in a different color than the body (I'm guessing it's Fairy skin - I'm almost positive the body is the same old normal Macchi is.), so right now it has one WS arm and one NS arm. Honestly I barely notice it...though I've kept the thing clothed the whole time lol

I ended up with it in a trade - several faceups, and a few future faceups for the body, three arms, the Juri head and the Unoa head back (which for me was a happy surprise, I didn't realize that was part of the equation).

I had very little free time over the weekend, but I managed to string it up, and wrestle the Soony head onto the body so it had one whilst I decide what to do with it. Because I really have no idea. None. I tried on all the fur wigs I have that even kind of fit, I've dressed it in several outfits, tried a bunch of eyes in it....I got nuthin. I don't even know if I want it to be a boy or a girl. Boys fit in with my group better, but up until now it looked like a girl to me, even dressed as a boy....and the body is a girl body. So everything is up in the air still, and for once, I am really stumped.

What I've got so far:

This was the first look - at the Holiday meet over the weekend. It sat at the Festivus (Sp??) table and aired a grievance. Which is what I'm told one does!

 

Next was this - I was still trying to make black hair work - but this wig just doesn't fit no matter what I do. This did nothing for me...But, Elf ears!!

   

Currently we're here, which is the look that inspired me the most so far...

 

Crooked glasses are crooked. I dunno. Still a work in progress....maybe a faceup will help (but it's really cold and I have no time). Lol the poor thing. No part of it matches any other part of it XD But I kind of love it for it's patheticness. And the proportions.

I have several options to play with here, when it comes to this thing's identity.
1. Soony stays on this body and becomes a boy (it has no chest, so it can work).

2. Soony stays on this body and becomes a girl...since it is a girl

3. Soony goes to a new, undetermined body and the headback that came with it goes to this one, and I have a second Unoa to do whatever with, and will be....either a boy or a girl and any mold. Omg. The options D:

4. Unoa headback becomes a hybrid, something I've wanted to do many times, for many years. I'm thinking either Dollmore Kid or Doll Chateau. And i have no idea what faceplate, other than it won't be L-Bi.

Then I have to decide what storyline it gets worked into. Forgotten Children (or Alex's world), or Mocha's world (tentatively called Star of Fate...because that's the song I was listening too when I thought of it) - as those are the two Mature Mini "worlds" I have split my minis into (which don't count the three that exist in the 1/3 FC universe).

Since I have given the poor thing several looks in the barely 4 days I've had it, and nothing is coming to mind, I decided today to start with a name. Since I don't know if it's a boy or girl or what universe it exists in yet, I have two separate name groups.

The FC storyline - Gender ambiguous names (like Sage and Rowan lol) since who knows what it is:

I figure if I can get it a name I'll eventually come up with a character and be able to figure out look and everything else eventually. Chances are it'll end up with Mocha and the rest - I can't think of anyone in FC who needs to be a doll and isn't atm. And I really don't need to be adding more characters.

In other crazy news, regardless of what body this Soony head ends up on, I want the MNF neck piece for it, for the easy. Right now the poor thing is filled with hot glue, and held on by a metal bar that used to hold a Zaoll head back on. It's a mess (but works!). I went to go put a WTB up for the part, and the very first post in the MP was for a neck key!! Of all the things. Fastest transaction ever, later, I have one on the way already. Amazing luck!! Which I need more of....the seller I bought the KDF Yul head from has disappeared....so I am worried. It's only been a couple days, but her communication was really good until I paid. Now she's not answering me and I never got a tracking # like she promised.

The eyes I got in the trade for the Volks body came in yesterday however, and they're just gorgeous! So that's one more good thing to outweigh the (potential) bad?.

And random fist-bumps from total strangers are awesome. Just sayin.

Invasion of the Body Sharers. And Seven.

I got my Fairyland Nanuri 12A last week. This is the doll I decided would be Sages Twin, the Elf formerly known as Kael. I changed his name to Rowen becasue it sounds better and makes more sense with Sage. The faceup "he" came with was fantastic, and by some miracle, it matches the wig, so I'm keeping it. The only thing I did was pull out the eyelashes, because FL Chloe is the girliest girl in history and mine is a boy. So he needed a little less fluff. He's gone and stolen my El's body becuase it's the only one I have that will work unless I steal Aishe's, and Aishe has earned his right to keep his body dammit. So Adrien is already a head in a box. He won't stay that way - I just ordered him some truly fantastic eyes.

So with Rowan home, and Sage  and Wyn I have all my Elves but Shae. Still. I decided to go on and search for a head I could use on another "borrowed" body, and was directed toward Miracle Doll's Lestat. Which happens to be a head I've admired many times since it came out and was only available on their blog. Head also happened to be on sale. Hells yes.

So many years after selling the B&G Sapphira I'll have Wyn's half-brother again. I have a wig he can borrow, but I'll have to get one for him permanently. I'll also have to figure out how I want to disfigure his face. Long story. I'm excited because Lestat is a head I've wanted before, he has an open mouth with fangs so I can use him to get inspiration for my on-hold-until-I-get-parts Kara Klum mod-project, and when Rowan was Kael I owned him for a time as a B&G LE Nailo, but never at the same time as Shae. So I'll have them all together for firsties. Wyn's gots a newish faceup so he's all good to be pictureated, and other than needing her hair tamed, Sage is ready to go. GROUP SHOT!! Yays!

Shae will share a body with whoever's body he fits (but I am hoping for the Granado. Why shouldn't half my dolls be on that body? WHY?!) because I don't need any of them as a whole doll forever I think. I dunno. We'll see. I really like Rowan on that Delf body. I might like him more on an F60 one. OH GOD THE MONEY D:

Also getting a re-shell is Isis. I ordered her new head last week. I am hoping to get her before my next Dollmeet *fingers crossed*. Her new self will be DM Biwol. A doll I thought was the perfect Isis since her release, but I already owned Fine. I mean really, if you had to work with Alex you'd look worried too. Trust me on this.

I'm nervous about her becuase her eyes are so small - 10mm I think - but hopefully it won't be horrible next to David and Alex (who are 12s and 14-16). With Isis's recent character development I just don't see her as the Fine so much anymore, so I decided to go on and take this plunge. *scared*

And with all the new and incoming dolls I have recently, what do I do? Fall back into my usual obsession. A million things to do and work on and all I want is to play with this one.

If I'm going to be honest, since he's too pretty to mod into disasterage, I am sort of at a loss as to what I want for him. He's been wearing that vest since I bought it at Dollism, so I'm thinking this is his style. I have all these clothes I buy for Alex I just don't see him wearing or I just never put on him (like all my Anotherspace stuffs)...this one is going to wear the clothes. All the clothes!!! And wear this wig I mangled several years back. And the two wigs I have had planned to make but never did because I don't see the current Alex's wearing them.
He's slowly becoming a doll. Or at least becoming more than the doll sitting on the Alex shelf cowering because apparently Alex I is a bully. Not sure why that should surprise me.

 

He has the expensive eyes (Enchanted Doll Eyes, also from Dollism). I had him less than 24 hours and he took all the shit I bought. Lol. Alex.

 

 I just love him. Seven of the same stupid doll and he never gets old for me.

I am having trouble deciding what kind of faceup I want on him however.

I - Somewhat natural, pretty.
II - Looks like death (not the entity, the concept.), still natural
III - Is the most "Alex" Alex.
IV - Is actually Azrael, who is  Death. The entity.
Skullface - Also Azrael. Also Death. Looks it literally.
2.5  who is now 6 - getting wiped and modded, but has the "glam" faceup
7 - Blank. Boo.

I feel like I've covered the bases....but in order to justify him he needs his own look.The good thing is, Alex being 500years old, I have pretty much everything under the moon to choose from...he gets bored. He's probably done it to himself. It meaning everything. XD

I could go:
Emo-Goth - which I don't have unless you count Azrael who's totally goth (dammit)
A different natural than Alex's I or II. No idea how I would do that tho...
A less cray version of Visual Kei than Adrien (or is that just Goth??? OMG I DON'T KNOW!! too many styles)
I have no idea.

What I know
Alex has:
Naturally white-blond hair
Blue eyes (cornflower like the flower or possibly the crayon.)
Pale, pale skin - which is also natural thanks to the hair but also, vampire.
Black eyebrows. Yep. Don't ask.

So other than that I can really do anything...no tattoos, but scars and piercings would work as both would eventually heal. My only character hang-ups are his laziness - he's not a super-high-maintenance person because he wouldn't bother, and would only half-ass do anything so the current dyed hair is a lot of work for him - and he doesn't like to emphasize the fact that he is pretty. So sometimes I don't think it's right to put "makeup" on him. I do it anyway (2.5/6) because I like it, but I feel wrong doing it.

Hair I've got planned. This wig, another dread wig - all dreadlocks this time, and one of alpaca that looks like it's been half shaved off - the precursor to his green-purple style of looks-like-it's-been-cut-with-a-weed-eater. I also have to make a new Green and Purple wig X2 for reasons out of alpaca hair. Assuming I can make anything at all out of alpaca hairs. I have the stuff, I just have to do it. Someday.

But the point is, hair I have covered. And eyes. And clothes.

I just need a faceup. Urg. I should go look at faceups for inspiration. I just don't want him looking like I and II. Here's hoping. I need to work on updating my doll list. So many body-sharers atm and it's getting confusing. I think this is the Year of the Floating Head for me. :\

Another Free Repeater

Soooooooo I sold my Pukifee this year, and a couple other dolls of that size, thinking I would only keep Ebils, and then have YO size forever. Then I ordered that AngelBattle Cream who is Pukifee sized. Oops.

Worse, I went to Dollism and saw Latidoll. I've never been attracted to their tinies, I mean, not at all, but I saw this guy and just fell in love with that little face.

 

 I honestly thought about buying him, but didn't, because I didn't want that size anymore. I went back and saw him a couple times, and took this picture, which was a mistake, because weeks later I'm still wishing I would have grabbed him.

Then Withdoll went and released those Werewolf Babies. Omg. For real, just look at them! I have thought about it since the release, and I just can't pass it up, on the chance I might seriously regret it, like the Lati Yellow Monster House Lashes. I'll be ordering tomorrow btw, I may be winging it as I am not 100% which one in which color I want most (I want all the werewolves!! I don't even care about werewolves!), but chances are it'll be Coco in Rosy Brown with all the animal parts and wolf skins. He has a name already - Sterek. lol
I'll call him Wolfy.

I figure he'll be friends with Mcoy "Bones" (the someday-will-get-here AB Cream)....and since I prefer things in threes, I've decided to try and get the LDY Vampy Lashes. My first attempt is Lati. He's long sold out, but they had him at Dollism, so I sent them a note asking if he might be there somewhere, hiding in a corner waiting for me. We'll see if that works out - I don't have a ton of hope, but it's a start.

If you're me, or you happen to know me very well, you can see why I love him. It's not just the fangs (they help) or the stripped suit (also helps), but the face. Those giant eyes and that shape of slightly open mouth is like my kryptonite. Every time I see a tiny that looks at me like that I melt. The Withdoll Coco has the same look - I didn't realize it though his faceup until I saw one blank. Same face. I don't know if it's because of Baby Alex (Leekeworld D Bebe) or if I bought him for the same reason and didn't realize it at the time, but he was the first. Then it was Ai/Afi from Soom, to this day the only Soom face that got me until the released Ashes/Hawa who are not only bunnies but look like Ai and Afi! I tried and couldn't even put my Afi up for sale....he's just too adorable. And I keep going for the exact same dolls over and over. Even my other tinies match up a little. Chibi Alex, North and Baby Wyn kind of have a similar look as well. I repeat a lot in this hobby. Especially if count the 7 Kara Klums.

So if Lati shoots me down I'll put up a WTB so I can bring "Fang" home to his new BFs, the newest residents (even though I don't own any of them yet) of Halloween Town. Mayored I'm sure, by Skullface. Ebils will become, not a demon but a devil, I have plans to make him a tail (and since the doll was supposed to be a dragon, he has a tail magnet already!) and all will be fabulous. Chibi Alex has moved in with the Alexcorn because I maintain the fact that Alex has Halloween hair....so all those weird dolls I don't know what to do with have a place, which means I'm less likely to turn around and sell them on a whim. My friend moved her DC Jodie into my collection as well - he's going to get a new look and be named Crow. Someday my poor Moon will have a body and she'll fit in nicely with all of them.

I can't wait to actually use the LED light eyes....so far I haven't done it. I am stupid happy with him right now. If I was going to have a doll of Gambit, this would be it!! Which sounds so dumb, but since I didn't buy the Heath or the River with that in mind....so it makes sense to me. lol

And Adrien!
Whose real name is Adriel, as like the rest of the band Fallen, he's an angel. He's also their second guitarist, back-up vocals and manager. And sometimes he's Uriel's friend with benefits. Because Uri can't keep his hands off my Delfs.



I want different eyes for him eventually....but I haven't found any I'm partial too. He wears VK Contacts....so you would think I'd go cray, but no. I just can't decide.

  

I got really lucky at the Dollmeet. That dress is exactly what I wanted for him! Also got lucky with the guitar and wig. This is pretty much what I wanted him to look like! Adrien was, if you can't tell, very inspired by Visual Kei bands XD as were my two Volks boys also in the band (they're not even as extreme as he is). Though Trevor really should get a better faceup. I really like the one he has though D:
He has some normal hairs too, but I've never put them on him XD

Just a quick (heh) update on the old collection.

Alex III
Needs his claws glossed again, and he'll be as finished as he's going to get. I really wish I could get a couple pictures of him before I pack him away, but there's no time and I don't want clothes on him at all because I'm paranoid he'll get chipped, so just envision how cool he is. Awesome, right? XD

He's happy to have his head back on, and his hair (giant mega-Godzilla has been holding it for a month while he's been worked on. I think he's sad to let it go.) back. Though I put a net over his head to tame it. I used some leave-in conditioner on it and it's super-soft now XD

The Kara Klums as a unit
Well, things are changing for them. I beheaded II last night and gave him his old body back, leaving 2.5 a head again. I'm putting the DC body up for sale. If it doesn't sell I have an idea for it already, but I would really just like to sell it and replace it with another Y-03 body, sans extra joints. If that happens I'll decide what to do with the other one.

So I'm down to 6 again, since 2.5 has no body. Lol. Or I will be once I grab the new guy....who may not end up with the mods I planned - I might do it to 2.5. I'm not as attached to him as I am the others, and if I can get a junk body for him I'll feel better testing out things I've never done before. The new one will still get an open mouth mod, since I want two of them, but a lesser one...hopefully better than the first one I did. I'm not happy with it. So basically I'll just be switching them around again. Heh heh.

I'm dying to work on Azrael right now (of course, when I can't.) so I might clean him off after Dollism and start him. I don't have a concrete plan, I just want to draw on him a lot. >.<
He may also be naked for the rest of his life....

Skullface just needs his one hand finished (one of these days it will happen) and he's done. So that's nice. Maybe before Halloween...

I and III are as done as they're going to get, more done than they've ever been. It's a little scary...I'm terrified for them now D:

Seriously, I couldn't have picked a better head if I'd totally done it on purpose. It looks like him! I'm not kidding. I just got him yesterday and I can't wait to have him together. But he's going to Dollism to be my Faceup Workshop head, and then I'll probably have to wipe that faceup and give him a real one someday next week...so it might be a while.

But he looks amazing on the body (not a resin match sadly), the wigs look great on him and I love him with Jean. So a big huge and excited yay!!

I'd still like to attempt Wolverine 2.0 with different mold, but for right now I just want the two of them. I'd like to finish them completely. Either get Remy his own body, or one for Marcus, so there's no more sharing (though I am not in a hurry - I need to work on Marcus first. I think I just decided the Granado body is now Gambits....), and find both him and Jean some really good clothes, get them both blushed and complete before tackling any more projects....I don't want to get overwhelmed again. Ha.

I can't sell my Afi head. I can't. I tried, I really did....but I would rather he sit in a box forever and never get used than sell him and regret it. I am planning currently to attempt to join the next Soom Teeny Gem free choice or whatever they call it, and try to get another one, with maybe the bunny parts if that's an option, in tan to replace Hopscotch. If that happens I'll sell my head, but maybe I won't...I love the modded eyes on mine.  I just don't like him on the DK body. Of all my YO sized dolls it was my least favorite.

And I feel SUPER guilty selling my Ripley days. I mean really. Other than one DMK I don't sell Dollmore resin. But I can't deal with all the big guys anymore. Ryuji stays, Israfel stays, they can sit on the top shelf together and I will hopefully be ok with that. I just keep thinking "if" with Metatron...and I can't think about "if" anymore. He just needs to go. I'm glad I never wiped his LE faceup now XD

I hope I can sell this stuff. I think the key is going to be to just put it up and keep it up...and lower the price if I have too. It has to go, I feel better just having the bulk of them off my shelf.
The funny thing is, I don't even know what I'll use the money for!! Maybe a body for my last floating head? A body for the newly bodiless Kara Klum?? Who knows. I am thinking of shelling Sage's brother, I have a list of heads that might work as him....so that could be fun. We'll see.

I doubt anyone has ever noticed this about me, but I have definite patterns when it comes to dolls. One of them is, when I get a doll (or dolls) I am very happy with, and works out well, I tend to look at my collection and start re-evaluating what I want, what works and what just doesn't.

I got Java and that sort of completed that little group of dolls. I'm happy with them, I love them, other than giving them all a body blushing I think they're perfect. I want to spoil them and make them pretty and buy things for them.

So I started looking at some of the others I have sitting around and thinking "I do nothing with you and you're not what I want anymore"...

It happens.

This weekend I'm going to drag out all the resin bits and dolls that giving me not-so-great feelings and put them all up for sale. Some of them, again.

This post is mostly for me, as I officially gave up on all these things last night, and want an official record of what I want to do so I remember lol.

Dollzone Ro. I can't make him work. I've tried and tried and it's just not happening. His face is too mature and he's not what I wanted....the pictures of the blank head on Dollzone don't look like the head does in person, I've struggled with him enough, and I'm going to try and replace him with something else. Either a Dollzone Rafael, or one of four or five DC heads.

Mini Isis
I just don't think that the Janne head is a believable Isis. She needs to be older-looking or something. And not look so much like Mini-Alex. That freaks me out. She will also just be getting replaced with another SD head or a MNF Mirwen or Celine, possibly something I haven't thought of yet....I'm actually debating selling the whole doll, as I am not a fan of the back-breaking boob size, but so far Souldoll is the tallest girl body I have found...

For now, I'm giving up on them. I honestly think the Cosmo head isn't going to work, it's a hair too big and the proportions bother me. I am going to sell the whole doll (minus the jointed hands which I'll keep) because I can always get another Mirodoll body if I decide to try again, and right now I'm pretty happy with just having Gambit and Jean.

Jubilee is only being sold as a head because last night I gave her body to Sage. I like the AOD body, but I think I like the Delf one better XD
Sage won out, I put the F60 neck part on the Delf girl bod and now she's a whole CP girl. I'm so proud of her! lol So the DES head is going, because I'll probably not use it for anything else, and Sageypoo gets to look fabulous, and have interchangeable-with-two-other-dolls hands, since two more of my girls have Delf hands.

As for Gambit, I am very much set on that River head being him, IF he looks ok with Jean. If not, he gets the Heath head again, and I'll do something else with River. If he does look good with her, Heath goes up for sale again, probably at a lower price.....which sucks.

Same for the Volks Midori......I've had her for sale a couple times now, hopefully this will be the last time.

Y'know what's sad? If I update my profile to reflect this list, I won't own anymore Dollzone dolls. I went from 4, to none (though I still have four bodies XD). Someday Carter will get here and I'll have one again!! And maybe Rafael will work ok as Boo.

Gripey Gripe

Fairyland is having yet another event that they will get insanely backed up on. I didn't care until I saw all the elf event heads. I WANT THEM ALL especially the Elf Rin and Celine. Rin is a cutie regardless but I didn't want Celine at all until I saw the elf version.

Stupid Fairyland. The event items are ridiculously expensive now, so it's not like I could scrape together the cash to get any of them even if I did want the stuff they're pushing (which I don't - no part of me wants an F60 girl of any kind except the one I've got)....so unfairs.

I guess in a year or so when all this stuff finally gets shipped out I'll be scouring the MP for an Elf Rin or Celine!  Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I have seen the future.

And it is Migidoll Jean.

Well, it's more like the past since she's not a new sculpt, but I've never seen her. And she'd make a great Gabriel, especially since Michael will likely end up as a Migidoll as well. Woo!! FUTURE DOLLS!!!

And by future, I mean next actual year. I still plan on spending as little on dolls as I can the rest of the year. Though I'm already planning on trying not to buy another Resinsoul boy. I wanted one more to add to the Mini group I'm currently obsessing over, there is one available I can use, but I'm waffling on it for several reasons. Right now it's for sale for a price that I'm pretty sure is more than they cost new even with shipping, if not right up there with - and then it's plus shipping. So why do I want it? BECAUSE IT'S THERE!!! And I'm 100% sure I could make him work and then I'd maybe like him more for the making of him work. I am fairly sure that was a non-sense making sentence. EDIT: Ok I bought him.....pretty much everything from here down 5 paragraphs is pointless now lol

I think my first choice would be a Dark Tan RS Mei boy. This one is all those things but Song not Mei. And the elf ears were modded off. No. Elf. Ears. This is blasphemy. Seriously. Forget that I did it once (modding the points off of a Vampire Ryu is not really modding elf ears off anyway. Right?!), it kind of drives me nuts when people do this. Elf ears are adorable!! Nuff said.

Anyway if I did get this doll I'd mod elf ears back on, open the eyes a tad and smooth down the nose and possibly chin area to hopefully get a younger, softer looking Song. As I want him to be Mocha's younger, softer looking brother. So I'd have to mod a dark tan doll in the face which is generally frowned upon in this hobby because, well for good reasons. It'll leave horrible discolorations on his face. BUT I think I could blush it back to decentness if I had too.

But there is the price to consider. It's more than I want to pay.....and then of course the seller went and put the price as negotiable on the thread today. Ugh. If she's willing to go down I might not be able to resist. If I order from RS I might be in for a long wait, but I could get fun things like the doll I want, plus heeled feets and different hands. All of which would cost more and I don't want to pay. Lol

Of course I could always get nothing and spend my money on cat ears and tails for Des and Vanilla (hey did I mention I figured out everyone's names?! Didn't know that, did you!! HA HA), and maybe some parts for them as well depending on where I order from.

It will all depend on how much money I have left after paying for my plane ticket (DOLLISM!! I'M SO ON MY WAY OK NOT REALLY YET BUT SOON!!). And if that doll is still available. I keep thinking it'll sell....but with my luck it will be there for another week tormenting me.

So, the names. I gots them. I figured out a solution by dropping my most favorite (Cinnamon Dolce) out of the running and making Mocha, Frappuchino. Which is his last name now as he'd never had one before. So Java Chip is his brother. Which is why I need a new doll. The character was in my head when I started making this story up for the three I had (before Latte showed up and Des/Soshi came back), but not as Mocha's relation, just a friend of Vanilla's. Once I decided he should be Mocha's brother, everyone fell into place. I love it when a plan comes together.

So anyway this got longer than it was supposed too....here are the players!

Name: Mocha Frappuchino

Other names: Just Mocha

Species: Kangaroo Rat

Back Story: Private Investigator, and very private person. He's the brains of the operation. Pretty much all the operations. Has a pathetic (non-existent) love life.

Other: I may try to either find him different eyes still, or bevel out his sockets because I swear no eyes fit in him. I'm debating doing his faceup over too....it's been a few years.

Back Story: Latte is a mystery. Also a private investigator with Mocha. Never says a word and never takes off her mask. She's not as young as she looks.

Back Story: Dancer, singer, fame-seeker. Buys a wish to become famous and loses his freedom. Before becoming a star he worked in a dance studio.

Customs: Faceup and Mani-Pedi by me

Other:  He needs a good body blushing and a tail. I would also love to get him some high-heeled feet, extra hands and other fun stuffs from Dollmore, and dance shoes. All the dance shoes. And fabulous clothes. All the things.

Back Story:No one knows where he came from, but he was about to be sold off to the highest bidder when he was rescued by Des, Mocha and Latte

Now I have to work on a group shot. And think of a name for the PI service (in keeping with the coffee theme I'm thinking Cafe Noir, but that's a little silly? And it's Alex's name. He's not involved damnit.), the city they all live in - some furtury place, that's always lit up and super fast and busy and obsessed with money and fame a little like Tokyo only not (because I don't think Tokyo is obsessed with money and fame but I could be wrong and besides it's all fictional!!).

Now that I've got my thoughts for the weekend, I'll be off. I may start modding heads tomorrow. It's supposed to be rainy.
